8 Ways to Make Your Home Office More Comfortable

Working at home is great, it means that your workplace can be made more possibilities, and you will be the designer of your home office space. For a good working environment, practicality and comfort are more important than beauty. After all, you spend long hours in your home office and you must be a productive worker. Here are 8 simple ideas to make your home office space relaxing and comfortable.

1.Sit on ultra-comfy chair

While sitting for long hours at your work desk,do you feel pain in your neck, shoulder and femur? Sitting for more than eight hours can lead to postural problems like disc damage, strained neck and swayed back in the long run.Be sure to buy an ergonomic desk chair, and choose better the best if you can afford. The money you saved on your chair may not be enough for you to see a doctor. Health is very important, even if you have a comfortable chair, I still suggest you stand up and walk around.

2. Use a laptop stand

Most people who work from home use laptops, everyone appreciates the freedom of working on a laptop. But when it comes to ergonomics, a laptop isn’t the greatest choice since you can’t adjust the height of the keyboard and screen separately. Why not buy a laptop stand? You’ll be able to raise and lower the height of your laptop to maintain better ergonomic posture while you use it,so you don’t have to bend over when working on a laptop.

3.Buy a foot rest

Buy a foot rest ,put it under your desk. The simple addition of a footrest can reduce strain and promote better posture, all while preventing leg discomfort. A footrest is just plain more comfortable than resting your feet on the floor. In addition to the circulation benefits, a footrest is designed specifically for your feet’s comfort, much more so than carpet or hardwood floor.

4.Get a green plant

Plants are a natural air filter. Many people know that plants should be placed in the office area, but what I want to say is putting a pot of green plants on your desk is more beneficial to relaxing your eyes than a bouquet.

5.Ultrasonic aroma humidifiers

When you turn a diffuser on, you disinfect the air, which makes it 100 times more pleasant. This little helpful device can do even more than just help you relax, thanks to its relaxing abilities, a diffuser helps fight depression or deep frustration. Also, aromatherapy oils can charge your brain cells with energy, so they will work faster and more effectively. Aroma diffusers can help you focus and concentrate when it’s needed (that’s why we recommended placing it on the office desk).

6.Keep it clean

Believe that no one wants to stay in a dirty, messy and poor environment for a long time, working on a dirty, cluttered desk will only serve to make you less productive.
It is not difficult to keep the working environment clean and tidy. First, you need to buy waste paper baskets, folders and storage boxes, and prepare a towel to wipe the dust. Then all you have to do is to take away the trash at the end of work every day, organize the desktop. You will be more happy at work the next morning.

7.Lighting

If your workspace do not have plenty of windows and lots of natural light, maximize whatever lighting you have.Having one overhead bulb means that you cannot control the lighting. Adding in a desk top lamp can do wonders to relieve eye strain and to create some additional warmth to a room that can typically feel cold and overly electronic.

8.Make sure the room's temperature fits you

There is nothing worse than being too hot or too cold. Make sure that you regulate the temperature. You're the only person in the room, so set whatever temperature makes you feel most comfortable. If needed, try adding a small space heater or desktop fan for some relief.
